The American Guest - Part 1

After a defeat in the presidential campaign, Theodore Roosevelt leaves for the Brazilian wilderness in search of his lost youth. Alongside his friend Farrel Nash, his son Kermit, and the then Brazilian Colonel Cândido Rondon, the ex-president of the U.S. also embarks on a trip through his memories, revisiting an important period in his life, when he occupied the White House.

On the way to the last post of civilization, Kermit tries to discover more about his fathers past. While the world approaches a world war, T.R. delights in the scenery of Chapadão, and recalls his efforts to preserve his own countrys natural beauty.
